All
my life I continuously traveled over three continents, Africa, Europe and North America -  never resting more than three years in the same location.  From February 1996 to March 2002, as the director of the Galerie L n'est pas C, I was obliged to stay put in a fixed point in uptown Brussels. One can imagine that freedom is something that means a lot to me.

For the moment my interest is centered more and more on representing my gallery, XCCA (Xavier Courouble Contemporary Art)  in a "nomadic way." This means being invited to different places to put on shows with the gallery artists in the freest way possible.

In   the   month   of   February   2003,  I decided to launch the H O [U S E] - H O [M E] project in collaboration with my friend Kevin Freitas. What I like most about this project is its ambiguous character, with elements from everyday life put together and becoming a thing of beauty and fascination. It questions the relationship between art and reality.

In that sense
H O [U S E] - H O [M E] represents the philosophy of my gallery.
