Stephen RUECKERT
February 11-15, 2004

Stephen Rueckert studied sculpture at the Rhode Island School of Design, and drawing at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris,
the Art Students League in New York, and the New York Academy.  His work has been shown in many galleries and public
spaces in New York City, and his drawings are in the permanent collections of New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art and
the Brooklyn Museum of Art.  His sculptural installation The Standard Model (abandoned), which was exhibited at Brookhaven
National Laboratory and in Soho, explored the subject of creation, linking current scientific models of the universe with his own
deeply personal artistic vision.  His sculpture “On-On-On,”  commissioned by the Public Art Fund, was exhibited in the MetroTech
Center plaza in Brooklyn, New York.  He stopped all his work in the past few years to help raise his two young sons, and has
recently returned to work with an untitled work in response to the events of September 11, commissioned by the St. Albans School,
Washington D.C. This piece is currently on display at the United States Mission to the United Nations in New York City.

With this sculpture one can control all other sculpture, the U.S. power grid, then the world. The man in the B/W pic is an unknown scientist.  In the mahagony part, the pretty blue bowling ball works like a mouse on your computer. When you spin it, all the guages you see there-- go wacko. profound, I know.. As you see on the toggle switch module, all the labels are marked on-on.. you can't turn this sculpture off! The concrete module is lined with red leds and glows at night. This work is a four sculpture in one model. A great value. I repeat, you get four sculptures in one.. A turn of the century mahagony unit, a powder coated steel 1960's toggle switch unit, a 1990's high tech see thru unit and as a bonus I have thrown in the concrete unit with glowing red leds for free! This offer is a limited time offer as seen on TV. If purchased on the internet you may deduct 10% from your purchase. I will also include a set of six sauce pans.

Sorry, shipping not included.

Sincerely,

Steve Rueckert
